Multimedia Specialist
The Company

Position Description
The Content Multimedia Designer is responsible for contributing to the effective design and delivery of e-learning content and working with the Content Manager and other members of the team to create multimedia interactions that are both appealing to the user and that enhance learning.
Responsibilities
• Converting course documents to properly-formatted HTML for online delivery
• Selecting and manipulating appropriate contextual multimedia elements
• Creating narrated video introductions for each e-learning course
• Creating contextual Flash elements to support e-learning
• Creating and maintaining documentation detailing the optimal settings for multimedia supplied by clients and outside vendors, as well as detailing best practices for HTML, JavaScript, and image editing
• Maintaining internal library of images, video, and audio assets
• Keeping up to date with latest online technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3 and new software/resources that may streamline the development process
Skills and Specifications

• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or JQuery and the Adobe suite of products

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Journalism (with an emphasis in multimedia) or related field and 3-5 years of practical experience in the field. Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation will range from $45,000-$48,000 based upon experience

Online Content Specialist

Position Description
The content specialist is responsible for maintaining and creating the Company’s online training materials to ensure current information and “freshness” of content.
Online Content Specialist Responsibilities
• Create interactions that are both visually appealing and enhance learning
• Coordinate conversion of existing course content to web-based training
• Research and present new engaging course content to management.
• Manage industry-specific variants of the Company’s standard training content
• Work closely with our Manager of Regulatory Compliance to ensure courses meet regulatory requirements for continuing education approval
• Work closely with the technology department to ensure seamless delivery of new content and regular updates
• Design HTML pages and supporting graphics that are consistent with design standards
• Proactively monitor content for necessary updates
Skills and Specifications
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong research and writing skills, including diction, grammar, and spelling.
• Exemplary work ethic and a strong commitment to quality
• Organizational skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think creatively
• Previous experience designing educational courses or employee training materials
• Knowledge of HTML programming and/or Dreamweaver
• Knowledge of Jquery or Javascript is preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of safety regulations, environmental laws, health topics, EMS services, fire suppression, and/or law enforcement topics
Education
